Portofino '97 is the rush of a burgeoning romance: the adrenaline, the flirtation, the infatuation. It's the thrill of a secret escape—an ode to the early rendezvous of Victoria and David to the Italian seaside—all bottled up. A tease of the fresh sea breeze is clouded with incense and amber, a lingering trace of patchouli, musk and vetiver punctuate the desire.
Each fragrance is bottled in a flacon inspired by a vintage parfum bottle Victoria collected while traveling. The blue enamel of the Portofino ’97 bottle is reminiscent of the blue waters of the Ligurian Sea.

"I want to start by saying I absolutely LOVE how this smells. My issue is that it does not last long like my other luxury fragrances. My husband purchased me the large size for my birthday and I ran out of it within 2-3 months because it did not last. I did purchase it when she first came out with the fragrance line so I wonder if it has better staying power now. I'm hesitant to spend another $350 just to see. I wear Bond Bleeker Street and/or Dubai Jade and can spray it on a nice cashmere or wool sweater, put the sweater away for the winter then pull it back out months later and it still smells amazing and don't need to reapply. This fragrance just does not have the lasting power."
